Special Olympics BC (SOBC), a registered charitable organization, provides high quality sports programs and competitions to meet the special needs and interests of individuals with intellectual disabilities, enriching lives and celebrating personal acheivement.

As a member of Region 6, Vancouver Island, Special Olympics Oceanside consists of athletes and volunteers who reside in Nanoose Bay, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Bowser and Regional District 69.
